Kelly Nash grew up in Davie, Florida a city situated outside Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kelly Nash grew up boating and fishing with her father Ed Nash. There are two sisters in her family, Kaitlyn Nash, and Carolyn Nash. Kelly Nash is of English and Irish origin. She is also Swedish. Her great-grandfather, who was a Portuguese native, came to America from Portugal.


 At a very young age, Kelly Nash was a lover of the Miami Marlins. While she was a sports fan from an early age, she always wanted to be a news anchor. Kelly Nash received a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina in the year 2006. She completed her studies at Clemson with Master's degree in Youth Development Leadership in 2009. In exchange for covering the Sports Information Department's teams of Soccer and Baseball she was awarded an athletic scholarship that was full-time by the Clemson Athletic Department.


 Kelly Nash, a MLB Network studio host, has appeared on a variety of shows, including Quick Pitch, the nightly highlights show. Her appearances on On The Fly, the Nightly Game recap show, and NHL Network Studio are a part of her job as a host for NHL Network Studio. In March of 2015, she was a part of the MLB Network. She also began working for the NHL Network in 2015. The NHL Network's daily operations were housed at the MLB Network headquarters.
